The first striking characteristic of the device is its sleek and elegant design. It certainly doesn’t look the part of a less expensive device.
With a 7-inch full-colour LCD screen, books look great on the device. A high contrast ratio makes it very easy to read in low-light and bright environments.
It comes with a designer leather case that looks great and protects the device from damage. Very handy; especially when carrying it in a handbag or backpack.
Ease of Use
The Lookbook is very easy to use. It has paging buttons on either side, making it a breeze to move forwards and backwards through books. Another excellent feature is book-marking, where the device will remember where you are up to in any book, and instantly return you to that position when the e-book is opened.
The eReader has Wi-Fi support, so you can quickly and easily connect it to the Internet. Books can be downloaded from the Kobo network (over 2 million books) without connecting it to a PCl. The device also comes with 250 free e-books to get you started. That’s plenty of reading!
In terms of visibility, the contrast is great and the screen is very easy on the eyes. It has a rechargeable battery that supports up to 6 hours of reading time.

Overall
The Shift3 Lookbook is the perfect eReader for the aesthetically fussy technophile. It has all the features you’d expect of an e-book reader (and some more) for a very attractive price. It’s nearly worth buying the device for the 250 free e-books alone!
